At Traxtudio , we are a part of the communities in which we operate. We believe in understanding the needs of communities in areas where we do business so that we are able to make meaningful contributions to their upliftment.

Community Development through education and training
As a global company, we are busy setting up professional training facilities around the globe as part of our social responsibility. Information about the curriculum:
1. THE CURRICULUM

1.1. THE AUTHOR

The curriculum was developed by one of SA’s top, award-winning producers, composers and pianists, and owner of the biggest, privately-owned recording studio group in the Southern Hemisphere, Riaan Steyn.

1.2. THE CURRICULUM

The outcome of this curriculum focuses on empirically measuring the student’s performance and incorporates some progressive pedagogical models and ideas such as block scheduling and project-based learning. It requires the students to demonstrate the skills and course content that they are required to learn. (The curriculum is to be thought of in terms of activity and experience rather than of knowledge to be acquired and facts to be stored.)

1.2.1. THE PURPOSE OF THE CURRICULUM

The purpose of the curriculum is to
(1) Introduce serious music learners to the professional music production industry in South Africa and abroad – Give the correct, industry-specific and relevant information for learners of the different facets of this industry;

(2) Develop entrepreneurial (and business and financial management) skills to be successful in the professional music industry;

(3) Introduce to, and practically educate learners for, the professional music production industry in terms of arranging of music, producing and composing of music, audio production (recording, mixing and mastering);

(4) Educate learners in terms of music rights legislation and publishing;

(5) Give learners a sound computer literacy-background and foundation.
